Eggless Maple Walnut Ice Cream

This old fashioned Eggless Maple Walnut Ice Cream treat has always been one of my absolute favorites. I love pure Maple Syrup, and I love what it does to ice cream and walnuts. When you incorporate it with sweet cream and walnuts and whip all that frozen air into it in your electric ice cream maker in your vegetarian kitchen - the result will make you smile for days! Mmmmmm, now that’s good!


  • 1½ Cups Organic Walnut Pieces
  • ¼ Cup Maple Syrup
  • 1 Tbs. Butter
  • 1 Quart Heavy Whipping Cream
  • ½ Cup Maple Syrup
  • 1 tsp. Frontier Herb Co. Alcohol Free Maple Extract
  • Pinch Sea Salt

  1. In a heavy 2 quart stainless steel sauce pan melt butter and maple syrup together bringing to a boil that you cannot stir down.
  2. Add the chopped walnut pieces coating them evenly.
  3. Remove from heat, and spreading them on waxed paper on a wire rack allow them to cool.
  4. Mix the rest of the ingredients together with the Heavy Whipping Cream, mixing well.
  5. Fold in the walnut pieces.
  6. Pour into a hand cranked or electric Ice Cream Maker and follow the directions of the manufacturer.
