An Ancient Staple Grain, Rice is Available in Many Varieties and Enjoys Many Uses

You will find it in long, medium and short grains. Jasmine rice is used in Asian cookery; Basmati in Indian cuisine and Arborio is the basis of Italy’s risotto.

Brown rice, black rice, Wehani, Wild. . . each has its own wonderful taste and texture.

You can boil, steam, or use the pilaf method to prepare it. It is used in a wide variety of recipes from appetizers, to soups, salads, sushi, casseroles and desserts. The usual proportions of grain to Spring or RO Water apply.
