Vegan Gluten Free Sugar Spice Cookies

Vegan Gluten Free Sugar Spice Cookies are perfect for those with food allergies. Exotic flavors come together to make this special cookie.


  • 1½ Cups Vegan Confectioner’s Sugar
  • 1 Cup Dairy-Free Earth Balance Margarine
  • 1½ tsp Ener-G Egg Replacer or OrgraN No Egg
  • 2 Tbs Rice Milk or Hemp Bliss
  • 1 tsp Alcohol Free Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tsp Alcohol Free Almond Extract
  • 2½ Cups Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free Al-Purpose Flour
  • ½ tsp Xanthan Gum
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Cream of Tarter
  • ½ tsp Ground Cardamom
  • ½ tsp Ground Ginger

Cream Earth Balance and Confectioner’s Sugar until smooth and fluffy. Mix the Egg Replacer with the Rice or Hemp Milk.

Sift the gluten free flour and other dry ingredients together and add to the sugar and margarine mixture. Add the extracts too incorporating them well. Gather the dough into a ball wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for two hours.

Roll out the dough on a lightly floured work surface with a rolling pin that you have also dusted with gluten free flour. Using cookie cutters cut out the cookies and place on a silicone baking sheet or a parchment covered cookie sheet. You may need to use a thin metal spatula to lift the cookies without challenging their shape onto the baking surface. Bake in a preheated oven on a center rack for ten minutes. Cool on a wire rack and frost while still somewhat warm.
