Vegetarian Maple Chocolate Cream Pie

Prepare Your Vegetarian Kitchen’s Chocolate Coconut Pie Crust for this scrumptious Vegetarian Maple Chocolate Cream Pie. This was my father’s absolute favorite pie. He insisted that I teach him how to prepare it before I went off to college -- and he never wanted me to make just one!

Ingredients:

  • 5 Cups Organic Chocolate Milk or Chocolate Silk Soy Milk
  • 1 Cup Maple Syrup
  • 6 oz. Callebaut or Scharffen Berger Unsweetened Dark Chocolate
  • 1½ tsp. Pure Vanilla Extract
    Add:
  • 4Tbs. Corn Starch dissolved into 1 Cup Half and Half or if you are Vegan, Chocolate Silk Soy Milk. Stir until the mixture thickens and clears. Pour into two prepared Chocolate Coconut Crusts. Chill. Top with Whipped Cream and Chocolate Curls.

Method:

In a heavy bottomed pan heat: Organic Chocolate Milk or Chocolate Silk Soy Milk andl Cup Maple Syrup; melting chopped Callebaut or Scharffen Berger Unsweetened Dark Chocolate in the mixture. Then stirring constantly so that it doesn’t stick and burn, add 4 Tbs. Corn Starch dissolved into the Half and Half or if you are Vegan, Chocolate Silk Soy Milk and as it clears and thickens add the Pure Vanilla Extract.. Stir until the mixture thickens and clears. Pour into two prepared Chocolate Coconut Crusts. Chill. Cover the chilled pie with whipped cream or soy whipped topping if you are vegan; and top with Chocolate Curls. Oh, yes! That’s definitely worth eating! You my find your family, like my father, will not be satisfied with only one!
